“Sunsets are proof that endings can often be beautiful too.” – Beau Taplin
As this work week is over, I hope that you will enjoy some BEAUTIFUL SUNSETS this WEEKEND!! I hope that you will carve out time to REST and RENEW your soul.
I’m curious…. What is the purest DESIRE of your Heart and the greatest LONGING of your Soul!?
Would you consider giving yourself PERMISSION to spend time this weekend doing what you MOST LOVE to do in the world? Can you give yourself permission to CHOOSE FIRST that which fills your heart and soul to overflowing!?
If you are saying “HECK YEAH!!!,” then what does this TIME look like, feel like, smell like? Are there any sounds you can hear or scents you can smell? What colors do you see? Are you alone, or are there others with you? What time of day is it? What season? This is your SAFE SPACE, created by you, and FOR YOU!!
I find so much JOY and PEACE in watching the sun set each evening. I find Hope in the beautiful colors that are ever changing. And at the end of a long day, my FAITH and TRUST IN GOD are RESTORED when my eyes gaze upon the beautiful masterpiece displayed across the sky. This is where my Heart and Soul CONVERGE with the HEART AND SOUL of GOD. The sunset is where I encounter PEACE that surpasses ALL understanding!!
If you are at an ENDING that is difficult to process and/or difficult to walk through, I SEE you. I HEAR you. I RELATE to you.
I am here to hold safe space and deeply listen.
I want to encourage you that every ending is a new beginning. Nothing is truly ever lost. God is UNCONDITIONAL LOVE. Everything is working together for your good, and you are held by divine timing.
To any woman who needs need a little extra encouragement, please remember this…. YOU are GORGEOUS. You are ABUNDANT. You are LOVED. You are BLESSED. You are SAFE, and God’s got YOU!
With So Much Hope and Love, Ruth Renee RN 💛 Christian Nurse Coach | Spiritual Healer
I would LOVE to hear about your safe space!! If you’re willing to share, please comment below and share with a friend who can use some encouragement and support. ☀️
EVERY WOMAN HAS A STORY TO TELL. Speaking the truth in love sets her free. Let’s be brave together!
The Lord turns mourning into JOY, and the city WILL be rebuilt. God keeps ALL his promises. Everything is working together FOR your good. Hope always finds a way to be restored, and our prayers and words offered up to Him will not return empty or void.
God created you and knit you together in the womb. He intricately KNOWSYOU and He longs to restore what the enemy has taken. He desires to give you a hope and a future.
Jeremiah 29:11 @nursehealingadvocate “For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.”
“For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you HOPE and a FUTURE.” Jeremiah 29:11
I invite you to cast ALL your cares on the Lord, to tell God the most fervent desires of your heart and soul. Ask in the name of JESUS, give the glory to God, and it will be done. Knock and He will answer. Ask and you will receive.
For all the PARENTS, please know that I am praying for you and your children. If you are a SINGLE PARENTS, you have a special place in my heart because this is the life I have lived for the last few years. The Lord has been with me every step of the way, keeping me safe, protecting and providing, offering me His grace and peace.
I am praying for a DOUBLE BLESSING over you and your children, for provision, protection, and the peace of God that surpasses all understanding. I am praying for ANGELS to surround you and protect you and your children. I am THANKING GOD for the angels that surround you NOW. Praise God for beautiful sunsets and sunrises!!
If you are in a season of WINTER and dark nights, please know that the Lord turns mourning into joy, that the Lord wipes away every single tear you cry, and that the sun will rise again.
May we ALL continue to rise up in prayer and praise. May we welcome the Holy Spirit in our homes every day, and may we clearly hear, see and know how the Lord is working in our lives. May God bless each of us with greater clarity, discernment, and wisdom as we raise our children up unto Him. Come JESUS come. Amen. 🙌🏼

I am honored to do this healing work with so many others that I respect and admire. Together we will transform the HEART of healthcare. We are pioneers at the forefront of a total paradigm shift!
Collective 14.1…WE DID IT!!! One powerful conversation at a time! I couldn’t be any prouder of us and how we lead others to true healing and lasting transformation.
Nurse coaching isn’t like any other coaching I know. It’s a complete 180 PARADIGM SHIFT! A whole new way of thinking sooo different from the conventions and practices of the world.
Nurse coaching operates under the belief that NONE OF US are broken or disordered, but that WE ARE ALL uniquely and innately WHOLE and exactly where we are supposed to be in our journey!!
I thank God for the divine setup that led me to nurse coaching at the very beginning of this year. I honor me for giving myself permission to reimagine what my life could be, for writing it down last year as part of a Hope Writer’s challenge.
For years I was burned out! I never thought that I would step back into nursing, BUT I have discovered this entire new world of holistic nursing outside the hospital that I absolutely love and adore!!!
If you’re wondering what sparked my desire to become a nurse Coach, the short answer is that God led me to it and I was ready to receive the divine gift that felt like it had been prepared just for me after years of my own personal health and trauma struggles. I am a survivor of many things, and it is my heart to help other women heal, to be brave enough to tell their stories, to speak the truth in love, and discover absolute freedom in living wholly aligned with their divine purpose and highest self! 💜💜💜
If you’d like to elevate your thinking, and be challenged to overcome your fears and take action, then reach out to me!! I’d love to encourage and help you to step into alignment with your divine purpose!!
Currently, I offer 1 hour free coaching sessions as a way for you to discover if nurse coaching is right for you. Also, you don’t have to be a nurse! 😉 I am passionate about helping women practice better self-care, self-compassion, and self-advocacy.
Fear and doubt aside, what is the tiniest action step you can take that will powerfully shift everything in your world?
PS – You bet I participated in our celebration dance party at the end of our call even though I was sick! Well, for like 15 seconds until I had to sit down lol. I was not going to miss out! 😂
I want to take a moment to reflect on the benefits of gratitude…
Gratitude is so good for the energy of the soul, and has the power to uplift the weary spirit.
It is free and one of the most effective tools I know of that restores and maintains your health.
A dedicated daily practice of gratitude powerfully supports all aspects of your health.
When we feel better, we do better. We choose life! And, we choose more often to live in faith rather than fear when we are in a place of gratitude, no matter the circumstances.
If not, World Mental Health Day is a great day to start!
For me, I write in my journal a short list of the things I am grateful for at the end of the day.
I’m not perfect. Some days I get busy and I forget, but continuing to come back to this practice of daily gratitude as I review my day creates peace in my life.
I hope you have a blessed day, and invite you to choose gratitude, not for all things, but IN all things.
I recently read this about God’s love, that it is not “as long as,” but “IN SPITE OF.” And I 100% agree!!
W H I L E I N M O R M O N I S M: I believed God’s love was conditional. I believed I was worthy of God’s love and saving grace through the temple covenants only…. AS LONG AS I paid my tithing perfectly AS LONG AS I kept the word of wisdom perfectly AS LONG AS I kept the law of chastity perfectly AS LONG AS I was honest in all my dealings AS LONG AS I had a perfect faith and perfect testimony without any room for doubt AS LONG AS I did everything asked of me by my Mormon leaders and prophets, perfectly.
I was filled with shame, anxiety, and depression because I felt unable to live up to the requirement of this God’s salvation. I felt unworthy because I was not perfect.
BUT, thank goodness for the God of grace that I know today.
A F T E R I LE F T M O R M O N I S M: the God of grace showed me that divine love is unconditional IN SPITE OF my unworthiness, imperfection, and sin.
God loves me, and saves me, just as I am… IN SPITE OF my dishonesty IN SPITE OF my immorality IN SPITE OF my anger IN SPITE OF my jealousy and pride IN SPITE OF my doubt IN SPITE OF all my faults IN SPITE OF my unworthiness and imperfection
I will never be worthy or perfect of God’s salvation despite all my best efforts. None of us will.
BUT IN SPITE OF my unworthiness, I am fully loved and saved by God just as I am!
No longer am I filled with shame. Rather these days, I am filled with God’s s righteousness, grace, hope, peace, and even JOY!!
I have never been more convicted of any truth than I am of this – JESUS ALONE IS MORE THAN ENOUGH! I am so grateful I realized that I do not need Mormon temple covenants to be saved and changed by grace. I am so thankful that I have direct access to the Father through the propitiation of Jesus. I’m so grateful that I realized I do not need a middle man to reveal God’s heart for me.
If you are struggling to feel worthy of God’s love, I invite you to consider where you can give yourself permission to let go. Where can you let go of the “as long as” conditional love you have been believing, and step into the “in spite of” love that sets us free?
If you are open to receiving prayer, this is my prayer for you…May the God of Hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing. May Jesus alone be the anchor of your soul and your Great High priest. May you accept Jesus into your heart by grace alone, knowing that we are saved by this sacrifice alone. Our bodies are now the temples in which God dwells.
Love is patient, love is kind. Love is not easily angered, and love keeps no record of wrongs. If I have not love, I am nothing.
Better than caffeine… Bare feet and bare soil Time outside in the sun Reconnecting with the earth is good for the soul
🌍Our planet holds an incredible amount of energy. Spending time barefoot on the earth is a grounding technique I use to settle anxious energy or elevate a depressed mood.
✨ There are many possible health benefits of reconnecting with nature, including but not limited to….
-reduced stress and anxiety -relief from chronic pain -improved sleep -better regulated nervous and endocrine systems -enhanced mental focus -strengthened immune system -heightened creativity -lighter and/or elevated mood –relaxation and calm -more balanced energy levels
☀️ I love to go outside everyday for at least 20-30 minutes. After I go for a jog or a bike ride, I take off my shoes and socks. I choose to walk barefoot as I water the plants in my garden.
I spend time in awareness of the beauty around me, using all my senses to breathe it in. I am able to set aside my worries and focus on my connection to the earth and to God.
🥰 I use this outside time to let go of the stories in my head, to connect to the present moment, and focus on gratitude for the beauty around me. I thank God for the the gift it is to live on this beautiful earth.
Thank you God that you are the master healer, that we place our faith and trust in you, that victory on the cross already happened. You are with us, speaking to us. Every. Single. Day. Thank you that we have direct access to you. You say that your word will not return void. You heal the sick and comfort the broken- hearted. You save the crushed in spirit. Strengthen the spirits of those fighting COVID and other respiratory illnesses. Strengthen their faith and trust in you as they heal.
You command us to pray for one another. Thank you lord for your commands, for your instructions so that we can better hear your voice. May those who are ill hear your voice clearly during this difficult time. Thank you that you protect their lungs and airways. You alone keep them safe!
May they rest easy and sleep well during this time their bodies fight the infections and heal. Thank you lord for your refuge, your safety, your peace. In your wings you give us permission to REST. In your arms, we are safe. In your ever-present shelter, we find PEACE.
Praying for STRENGTH and HEALING, for restoration in the Lord. Thank you. We love you. In Jesus name, I pray, amen.
God, thank you for nurses and teachers everywhere. Thank you for their good hearts and kind souls, their desire to help others heal and learn.
Thank you for their friendship and for their wisdom. Thank you for their boldness and their desire to fight for what is right, no matter what comes their way.
Thank you God for your mercy and grace. Thank you for sacrificing everything in order to love us well.
God, your people are TIRED. Their hearts are GRIEVED, overwhelmed with DISCONTENT at work and in the world. It is exhausting and they are not receiving the support they need. They are worn down and BURNED OUT. They need your strength and your peace Lord. Please shower our AMAZING teachers, nurses, educators, and healthcare workers with your abundant STRENGTH, peace, passion, and joy. Fill them all with your perfect LOVE, with the PEACE that surpasses all understanding, with the HOPE that never fails or fades away.” ✨
Bless us in all your ways as we go throughout our days blessing the lives of others. May the meditations of our hearts and the words upon our lips be pleasing to you, God. May we DELIGHT in you Lord, and focus on you! May we commit our ways to the Lord and you will do it!! You will give us the desires of our hearts as we abide and trust in you.
May you supernaturally recharge their spirits, bodies, minds, and souls. May they stand strong in the face of adversity and not be shaken. Yes, let nothing shake them at work today, tomorrow, and the next. Let them carry your presence and your peace. May they carry peace and hope to to their patients and students. Clothe them with the whole armor of God. Give them your zeal and your might. May they trust in you with all their hearts, leaning not unto their own understanding.
Peace be still! Calm the waves of the sea at our places of work today. Give us boldness and courage in our voices while you also fill us with love and whisper wisdom. Yes bless us lord, even unto 1000 generations. Bless us and keep us, make your face shine upon us throughout all of our days. Place a hedge of protection around us and May the yokes upon ours backs be those of peace. Comfort our broken hearts and be near to us today as we care for ourself and others.
God. May you look after those nurses and teachers who are losing their jobs. Bless them with your abundance. Show them the next right steps. Be a light on their path to show them the way to new beginnings, perhaps in ways that will lead to greater healing for our world. Thank you for all that you do, for never leaving us.
Thank you lord for your goodness. Thank you lord for your boldness, your wisdom and will. Even, thank you for your gentleness. We love you, and seek to praise you and honor your name. Fill our hearts with more of you, and less of the world. Set a boundary line of protection around our hearts. Renew our energy and repair any energy leaks. May we rest in you and abide in your peace and your truth!! In your beautiful name we pray, amen! 🙏❤️✨
Warmly,
Ruth Renee RN
Please fill the COMMENTS with much needed PRAYER for nurses and teachers, parents and caregivers! Whatever your faith, whatever your belief, may we come together in unity through the prayers of our individual faiths! All are welcome here. 🙏🏼❤️
Welcome to my raw, authentic, messy and brave nurse coaching world! I’d love to introduce myself to everyone.
My name is Ruth Renee, and my favorite colors are turquoise and deep blue. To me, these colors signifies healing, inner wisdom, and boldly speaking the truth in love.
It took me many years to discover how powerful and needed my voice truly is!!
For too long, I believed lies that I was not enough, that I was not worthy, that I was not lovable, loving, or loved.
CW//brief mention of sexual abuse
.
.
.
.
When I was 7 years old, I was sexually abused for a short time. It shattered me in a profound way. But because of my courage and faith in God, I continually persisted forward. I take the next right step in faith, and I can now trust that God will not fail me.
Today, I accept who I am and where I have been. I know that my past does not define me. It may have shaped and molded me for a season, but God transformed me in a way that I will forever be grateful. In God’s image and by His love, I am forever changed. A new creation! A beautiful butterfly who now knows that she has wings and was always meant to fly!!
My purpose as a nurse coach is to help other women heal and move beyond the ashes of destruction, lies, and limiting beliefs trapped in their hearts and minds. It is the pure desire of my heart to be an advocate for real and lasting change. As a nurse coach, I gently guide other women toward healing and grace, toward receiving the perfect love that only God can give. “We love because he first loved us.”
If you don’t feel lovable, loving, or loved, please know that I have been where you are now. I appreciate how hard it is and how alone you may feel. I plead with you to not suffer in silence, to not isolate, to not believe the lies playing over and over in your head. Please know that I am here hoping and praying that you never give up on yourself!
Many times, I wanted to give up. Unfortunately, trauma patterns had a strong hold on me for a season because I believed the lies told to me by unsafe people. But, God sent believers into my life to be the hands, feet, and heart of Jesus; to show me sincere loving kindness in a way that I had not been able to receive for many years. Right place, divine timing! I give the glory to God for saving me. But I did play a part. I prayed for angels and God sent many beautiful souls to help me heal and learn to trust again. I believed in faith that God would help me. I took the first step in courageously bold prayer.
If you feel lost, I am here. If you are afraid, I am here. If you feel hopeless, I am here holding on to Hope against Hope until you can trust and believe for yourself that you are beautiful and loved, just as you are. You are perfectly imperfect, and God made you just as you are for a unique purpose. I am here to be your guide, to help you see the light and truth until your vision becomes more clear. I am here to help you get out of your own way so that you can be the bright light you were created to be. I am here without judgment, control, or manipulation. I am here carrying gentleness, grace, empathy, even courage and peace. I would love to share these gifts God has given me. You are worth it. Your greatest identity is as a child of God.
If you are struggling to feel hope, I would love to be a bridge to peace. I would love to be a light on your path to help you see the way forward to hope. You were fearfully and wonderfully made to receive God’s love and grace so that he can carry you home. I believe with all my heart, might, mind, and strength that God is for you. You are created by love, for love. To love and be loved. It is wired in your DNA to be connected to God and to other people. Please know that there are safe people to whom you can reach out! I would be honored to be that person who holds a safe nurturing space for you. A rich soil to help you blossom and grow.
As a nurse coach, I am passionate about helping other women feel wholly confident in their own skin. I am believing for you until you can fully believe in yourself that “all things are possible when we believe.” God is a promise keeper and a “man of His word!”
If you feel stuck, look up! The sky changes every day!! Peaceful Sunset @nursehealingadvocate
So many women come to me for help because they believe the lie that they are not enough. I am right here, right now telling you that this is simply not true!!!
God created YOU just as you are for a reason. You are fearfully and wonderfully made because you have a purpose and you are UNIQUE, SPECIAL. and LOVED! God wants to prosper you and give you a hope and a future, not harm you. GOD IS FOR YOU!! f you believe, then all things are possible. This is my faith and my hope. Empathy and desire for restoration is what motivates me to get out of bed each and every day.
If you would like to connect, please consider reaching out to have a conversation. You don’t have to live in fear. You don’t have to suffer alone. I am here. I see you. I believe you, and I believe in you. You are more than enough. You are worth it! You are not alone.
I’m so curious, where do you find even the tiniest spark of hope? Focus there and remember that HOPE is the belief to “Hold On, Pain Ends!”
I have to thank God and tell you all how amazing it has been to not be controlled by fear!! Despite encountering so much BS red tape in an important personal matter, I have had courage and confidence to speak up and advocate for myself, to push forward even when the path was full of roadblocks!
Thanks to nurse coaching, I know that I don’t have to take no for an answer!! I can speak up and take action until I am tired. Then I can rest, recover, and take the next right step when the time is right for me!
All is well.
Faith over fear… all is well.
Thank you Nurse Coaches Heather, Peter, and Brandie Mitchell for guiding me on an amazing nurse coaching journey! Being a part of The Nurse Coach Collective changed my life, for good!!! ✨✨✨
If you’re a nurse, considering if you should check out nurse coaching, here’s my answer…heck yeah!!! 🩺 🍃
If you’re a nurse or teacher considering if you should speak up in an emboldened voice at work despite not feeling heard or despite being told no over and over again by leadership, here’s my answer… definitely heck yeah!! 📣
You never know the long term lasting ripple effects of your words and your example. Be the change! Do what you feel is right in your heart, despite how the outside world around you reacts. 🌊 🌎
You are exactly where you are supposed to be. God gave you a caring heart and a powerful voice for many reasons, one of which may be to advocate for yourself and others. ❤️ 🗣
Look at it this way — Even though it may be difficult, uncomfortable, or exhausting to speak up now and advocate for needed change, what is the cost of not speaking up? 💲
How can you raise your voice in the service of those around you? 🥳
Nurses and teachers, you deserve so much better!! 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
Your patients and students deserve well-rested leadership. Do what it takes to make self-care a priority, and ask for what you need ar work in order to have a full oxygen tank, in order to have the resources you need to do your job safely and well. 💪
Keep asking, and don’t take no for an answer!! I’m cheering you on and praying for needed change!! I believe you have what it takes. 🙏🏼✨
Faith over fear, you can do this!! All is well with your brave soul! Trust your gut, follow your heart, and please speak your truth! ✨❤️🗣
Please speak up and share with other nurses, teachers, and parents. We’re in this together!! 🙏🏻🙏🏼🙏🏽🙏🏾🙏🏿🌎
Parents, students, patients, and another healthcare workers….where can you speak up in the service of supporting others?! 🥰
In our society, I often hear the saying “progress, not perfection.” But these words do not resonate for me.
Being a recovering perfectionist, I often see progress as needing to be only forward moving.
To me, “progress” says mistakes are okay as along as they don’t set me back, as long as I remain in forward motion.
However, when I hear the word “resilience,” I think of being brave and getting back up every time I fall.
I think of how it’s okay to take 1 step forward and 3 steps back.
To me, resilience says it doesn’t matter how far or fast I go. The only thing that matters is that I never give up.
“Resilience, not perfection.”
Meditate upon these words. Be aware of how you receive them. Allow grace into your heart and soul.
—-
Growth is messy. Action over perfection is messy. Resilience not perfection is messy and imperfect, and that’s okay. It’s actually quite a beautiful thing.
To my reader, where has focusing on perfect progress held you back? Where can you give yourself permission to be imperfect and resilient?
If you’re a perfectionist interested in growing your resilience, please email me at nursehealingadvocate@gmail.com. I would LOVE to coach you!
“It is not the strongest of the species that survive, nor the most intelligent, but the one most responsive to change.” – Charles Darwin
Growing up, I was seen by others as the shy, QUIET kid. I was introspective. I was a deep thinker, but I was not quiet. Maybe with strangers who didn’t know me. But with my family, I was carefree, loud, even rambunctious at times!!
For too much of my life, I let others define me. It took years of healing and separating myself from the crowd in order for me to realize that it’s okay to speak up when I see things differently. It’s okay to speak my truth. It’s okay to be different.
Last week, I made a bold decision to speak the truth at an even louder level. And ever since then, I have felt MORE FREE to be even less quiet and speak more of my truth! I am who God says I am, not how others perceive me.
I choose to be seen and heard! I am safe to be seen and heard. I honor the part of me that remained QUIET in order to remain SAFE, but staying quiet no longer keeps me safe. I CHOOSE FREEDOM AND PEACE by BOLDLY SPEAKING THE TRUTH IN LOVE!!
I will not go gently or silently into the night. Shame lives in the silence, in the dark. I choose to let light shine out of darkness. I choose to rage against the dying light.
“Do not go gentle into that good night, Old age should burn and rave at close of day; Rage, rage against the dying of the light.
Though wise men at their end know dark is right, Because their words had forked no lightning they Do not go gentle into that good night.
Good men, the last wave by, crying how bright Their frail deeds might have danced in a green bay, Rage, rage against the dying of the light.
Wild men who caught and sang the sun in flight, And learn, too late, they grieved it on its way, Do not go gentle into that good night.
Grave men, near death, who see with blinding sight Blind eyes could blaze like meteors and be gay, Rage, rage against the dying of the light.
And you, my father, there on the sad height, Curse, bless, me now with your fierce tears, I pray.
Do not go gentle into that good night, Rage, rage against the dying of the light.”
Do not go gentle into that good night ~ Dylan Thomas
To my reader, where has being quiet held you back? Where can you give yourself permission to speak up, to boldly speak the truth in love, to “rage against the dying of the light?”
If you’re interested in becoming a more assertive advocate for yourself, please email me at nursehealingadvocate@gmail.com. I would LOVE to coach you!
“Do not go gentle into that good night, Rage, rage against the dying of the light.” ~ Dylan Thomas
Here I am the day after a breakup…hair not washed, no makeup, and my eyes are puffy and swollen from crying yesterday. Honestly, exhausted and feeling worn down.
“To thine own self, be true.”@nursehealingadvocate
But….I am smiling!
I put on my workout clothes, take the dogs for a run, and listen to some worship music. As my feet hit the pavement, my body releases the emotional pain stored in my body. I let go and let God.
Breakups can be difficult because they can overwhelm us with a lot of pain in a short amount of time. However, breakups can be a good thing because they are an opportunity to heal the pain of the past as we comfort ourselves in the present.
In reaching out to talk to a friend yesterday, I gave myself the gift of an “empathetic witness” to not only the pain of the present, but also the pain of the past. And in doing so, I gave my inner child space and time to continue healing.
There is freedom in letting ourselves feel our feelings when they come so that we can release the pain and move forward.
There is freedom in setting boundaries with others when our deepest values don’t align.
There is freedom in choosing to protect our hearts, in choosing to be nothing other than our authentic selves.
Yesterday and today, I choose to rest and recover. I give myself permission to slow down, learn and grow.
I ask my inner child…
What do you need?
How can I be here for you?
How can I meet the needs you were trying to have met by the other person?
How can I meet the needs that weren’t met in your childhood?
What can I do for you right here, right now?
I tell my inner child…
I am sorry you were hurt in childhood.
I am here for you now.
I choose to protect your heart.
I choose you.
—
To my reader, I ask you this, where can you show yourself compassion and kindness? Where are you not choosing yourself? Where can you give yourself permission to change that?
In your hardest moments, I hope that you can give yourself permission to slow down and rest, to let yourself feel, to let yourself heal.
You are loved. You are enough. You are worth it!!
If you’d like to be coached on how to feel your feelings or connect with your inner child, please reach out to me at nursehealingadvocate@gmail.com. I look forward to hearing from you!
I regret that my bike has mostly been sitting in my garage for the last few years, especially since my divorce a few years ago. 💔
This fall, I decided it was TIME to get my bike fixed up. I kept hearing the thought in my head, “You should take your bike to the local shop and have them fix it up so you can get back out there.” 🏥
I ignored the thought for a few months until finally around last week, I decided that it was time!! ⏰
So about a week ago, I took my bike to the local bike shop for a MAJOR tune-up. They did an AMAZING job fixing it and restoring it to it’s original glory..:
🚲 New chain 🚲 New tires and tubes 🚲 New tape 🚲 New Shoe Clips 🚲 Good ‘Ol Wash and Shine ✨
This fall, I’m so excited to get back out on the trails riding my bike!! I am so grateful that God rescued me out of trauma and destruction, and recovered and restored my life, making me a new creation.
The old is gone. The new has come!! 🙌🏼✨
Before trauma memories and chronic health problems imploded my life about 7 years ago, I used to ride my bike ALL THE TIME!! 🚴 ❤️
I LOVED biking with friends around the lake, and had a dream to participate in a 100 mile bike ride, specifically the Texas Hotter than Hell 100!! 🥵
I did quite a few rides, and my endurance increased up to 60 miles before everything changed and my life fell apart so that God could put it back together on the only stable foundation I’ve ever known….Christ alone!
Y’all, Jesus really is enough!! I didn’t use to believe this. I thought I needed so many other things…the perfect husband, house, kids, job, and clothes. You know the story!! BUT GOD WRECKED MY LIFE in THE MOST MESSY AND BEAUTIFUL WAY!! 🙌🏼
He pursued me with a RECKLESS FOREVER LOVE that I could not deny not run away. I am saved by GRACE ALONE! CHRIST ALONE!! He is my sure foundation, my anchor. My fortress, my rock! ❤️
In my heart, He lives and loves me. Every part of me!! Even and especially the messy, broken parts. He makes all things new! He specializes in restoring broken hearts!! 💔
The love that I now freely give comes from Him alone. He is my focal point, my saving grace, my Redeeemer and my God! ❤️🩹
I remember 5-7 years ago when I could barely walk down the street without feeling faint because of undiagnosed #hashimotosthyroiditis and #ehlersdanlossyndrome. One of the symptoms was that I suffered from severe dysautonomia and thermoregulation dysfunction. 🥵
For all you who don’t speak medical jargon, this means that my body did not properly regulate my temperature, heart rate, or blood pressure very well. So much so, that I could not tolerate exercising outside in the hot weather. ☀️
BUT… I’ve been doing trauma recovery work and taking SMART baby steps to improve my physical, emotional, mental, spiritual, and relational wellbeing over the last 7 years.
During this time, GOD began to heal my heart, mind, body, spirit, and relationships…from the inside out!! Change began with me CHOOSING to take the first step!! 🏃♀️
You are meant to blossom! Give yourself permission to take the first step! @nursehealingadvocate
It’s been 7 years, and that dream to ride in a 100 mile bike ride is alive again!! 🚲
Yesterday was day 1….10 miles!!! One time around the lake!! HECK YEAH am I going to celebrate this HUGE WIN!!! 🚴 🙌🏼 🥳 🎉🎊
AND yesterday…I biked aound the lake in the middle of a 90’ sunny day during Texas September summer!!! 🌞 🥳
I felt SAFE doing so because I learned how to listen to and honor my body. I now know what electrolytes I need to drink and bring with me to support the unique needs of my body. 😊
I now know how to better take care of myself by utilizing a mix of conventional and holistic health measures. 🩺🌿
If you want or need a friend to help you kickstart your life into healthier holistic living and have the desire to live your life FULL OUT, then I would absolutely LOVE to help you figure out how to TAKE YOUR LIFE BACK, whatever that looks like for you!! I personalize all my coaching to the unique needs of my individual clients.💜
As a NURSE COACH, I love that I have the HONOR of holding a safe space for other broken humans like myself, especially as we WAKE UP and decide that it’s time to do SOMETHING DIFFERENT!! 👀 💪
And if you SIMPLY want a friend to bike around the lake with, hit me up!! I’d love to talk about life and marvel at the beautiful fall season with a friend, new or old. 🍁🧡 😊
So what if they don’t care what you think?! Let your voice be heard anyway, and remain unattached to the outcome. Nothing may happen now, but you never know the ripple effect you may have. What is the cost of not saying anything?
There is power in letting your thoughts and feelings be heard…no matter how they are received!
Wherever you are, whatever you are struggling with….what if you stand up for yourself, and let your voice be heard, no matter the outcome?!
Be an advocate! Be a leader! Be a voice of reason!! Use your God-given powerful voice and speak your truth!!
If you feel as if you don’t have a voice or a choice, I want to remind you that you do!! I encourage you to use your voice and speak up. Your breath is not wasted, no matter the outcome.
FREEDOM is the promise you claim when you choose to speak the truth in love. I believe in you. I am here to hold space for you if you need someone to listen and encourage you.
I am here to help you find your authentic voice and the courage to speak your truth.
To all you who are struggling to speak up, I see you. I am here for you. I believe in you. I am living proof that change is possible.
Remember, you are loved! You are worth it! You are enough — period!!!
Real power comes when you choose to live in the truth of who you are, when you choose to be nothing other than your authentic self.
You are a beautiful soul! Please don’t ever give up on yourself!!
If you are afraid to speak up at work, at home, at school, or wherever you are suffering….I am here for you. You are not alone.

After 6 months of going through the nurse coaching processing as a client, I know without a doubt that my voice matters!
I am no longer afraid to publicly say what I think even if it is different than the majority. I have the courage to be me and am choosing from this day forward to accept others where they are.
What do you need to say out loud that you have not yet said? I challenge you to speak the truth in love, holding nothing back.
It’s okay to believe differently than those we love. Unity is not uniformity.
Unity is defined as “a thing forming a complex whole.”
A little something I read on Instagram that spoke deeply to my heart early this morning when sleep alluded me…
“Bring me the one who disagrees to my face but supports me behind my back. Bring me the one who takes risks a little far but pushes people to be better than they were today. Bring me the one who challenges me to rethink my perspective, to research before forming an opinion, and who has relentless faith that we will work out our differences and if we don’t, we’ll disagree cordially….
I’m so thankful for a mother who taught me, and continues to teach me, about unconditional love in spite of differences in beliefs, appearances, and talents.
Most everything I learned about love, I learned it first from my mother because of her relentless courage to choose faith over fear, love over hate, unity over division.
She taught me it’s okay to be messy, that it’s okay to be myself, that it’s okay to be different. She accepts me as I am, and holds space for me no matter the choices I make.
It is my hope for every human that you find your path and find your peace, wherever that may be.
It is my belief that we are on this earth to hold healing space for each other, no matter what.
